We had been doing a task about New Zealand History, we had to find out what happened in an area that we had chosen. My partner and I chose Observation.
Before we started to get information about our places we had to find out where the task was by searching a pepeha and writing some parts on google maps. My partner and I found out that our story was located in Tasman Bay. The story was about how men found Tasman Bay naming it Murderers Bay and Paradise.
We then start reading the first story. This part of the story was about Abel Tasman and his search for Terra Australis only to find locals that kill Abels crew in return Abel names the place Murderers bay. We then start reading the second part of the story about how Dumont D’urville was heading towards an island, Dumont wanted to go back to France to gift the king with something to make the whole world jealous but Dumonts crew wants to go to the island they arrive at the island they find abandoned homes and a stream of water which Dumont and his crew washed their clothes in the stream and name the place paradise.
